I’ve fallen down a contemporary romance hole lately， it’s been a while since I’ve read fantasy romance and this book brought me back！ I’ve been stalking this author waiting for this book to release and dropped everything to read it as soon as I it was available。 I loved the mystery， the build-up， the spice *chef’s kiss*。 I enjoyed the characters and the world building。 The ending was so unexpected！ Phew， talk about a hangover！

Wow！！ Blown Away！ Devoured this one and just NEED more！ The characters were fantastic from the get to！ Adara is one of my fav leading ladies ever！ She will capture your heart from page one！ Then we meet some naughty princes…。。 and it gets hotter from there！ The whole world here is addicting and simply leaves you wanting more。 I am DYING for book 2 especially after the amazing cliff。 5 star read all the way！

This was basically a rewrite of FBAA， but with better writing and more likable characters， so I was almost okay with the similarities。 I wish the characters connected more emotionally， but I couldn’t put it down regardless！ Finished in one sitting！

I actually had the thought “are they really going at it again？！” This spicy， slow burn starts off focused on plot， but when the heat hits， it’s a 5-alarm and not extinguished until the end。 At 259 pages （kindle version）， this is a quick read too。 Adara is a “starblessed” chosen one who is to marry the Fae prince， and their Union will result in him becoming exponentially more powerful。 The only problem is， Adara is all kinds of insta-lusting over the captain of the Royal guard， his half brother， I actually had the thought “are they really going at it again？！” This spicy， slow burn starts off focused on plot， but when the heat hits， it’s a 5-alarm and not extinguished until the end。 At 259 pages （kindle version）， this is a quick read too。 Adara is a “starblessed” chosen one who is to marry the Fae prince， and their Union will result in him becoming exponentially more powerful。 The only problem is， Adara is all kinds of insta-lusting over the captain of the Royal guard， his half brother， and a Fae-Vampyre halfbreed， Evryn， despite her constant denial。 Oh boy， Evryn， he is a dirty talking （rivaling Tessa Bailey’s MMCs）， arrogant， possessive male who takes heads of those who’ve harmed her。 He is every alpha trope that exists。 This is a 3。5-3。75 ⭐️ for me because while I really enjoyed the story， it relied heavily on popular tropes and spice， missing much of magic system， world building， and story development。 That said， this is under the erotica categories on Amazon， so I also wouldn’t expect that as much since the focus should be more on the relationship and spice。 The starblessed aspect was original， but otherwise the story stands out because it is erotica and not due to originality in the plot。 I also had the ending figured out very early and wished there were more red herrings。 While I love the length of the book， I do think there could’ve been better balance than “all plot” and “constant sex with a little plot to keep it moving。” I also think more could’ve been spent on developing， at least， Adara。 This will likely be a favorite for a lot of readers and I have no reservations recommending it widely。 I also think it’s a “safe” story for a lot of readers， as it has few triggers and is pretty par for the course for the genre。 。。。more

— 𝚅𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚢𝚛𝚎𝚜， 𝙵𝚊𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚍， 𝚘𝚑 𝚖𝚢！I've been meaning to get into the fantasy books， so when I saw that one of my favourite authors was dipping her toes in the genre， I thought this is my chance 。。。 and gods， was I glad I did。I am a visual reader， so when I'm reading a well written book， I can visualize characters and scenes as I'm reading。 and with AKOSAS， more often than not， I felt like I was watching a movie play out in my head。 I could see the characters and the scenes so clearly through — 𝚅𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚢𝚛𝚎𝚜， 𝙵𝚊𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚍， 𝚘𝚑 𝚖𝚢！I've been meaning to get into the fantasy books， so when I saw that one of my favourite authors was dipping her toes in the genre， I thought this is my chance 。。。 and gods， was I glad I did。I am a visual reader， so when I'm reading a well written book， I can visualize characters and scenes as I'm reading。 and with AKOSAS， more often than not， I felt like I was watching a movie play out in my head。 I could see the characters and the scenes so clearly through the writing， and it made this such a fun read for me。The world building was fascinating enough to keep me interested without being a hard to follow。 A lot of fantasy series， in my opinion， fall into a trap where they info dump a lot in the first few chapters which makes the book drag on， and makes it hard to get into the story until later on。 That is not the case for AKOSAS。 The heroine was introduced， and we learned more about the world as she learned about it， making it such an interesting read that keeps the reader on their toes and wanting to learn more， even as the story progresses。Speaking of the heroine， if you're looking for a book about a princess waiting to be saved， this is not the book for you。 Adara makes it very clear from the beginning that she will not be a pawn in this game， despite being betrothed the crown prince of Citlali。 She's Starblessed， but doesn't wish to be treated any different because they think she's special。 She holds her own， takes no crap from anyone and stays true to herself in the most beautiful way， even as she faces challenge after challenge。But if she thought prince Gavril was going to be a problem， she was not prepared to meet his tall， devilishly handsome and mysterious brother， Evren。 From the moment he was introduced， there was an instant and unavoidable connection between Adara and Evren， and the chemistry buzzed between them like an electric current in Every。 Single。 Scene。 （ 🔥 ！！！ ） But the dark prince was never part of her plan， and she tries to keep him and everyone else at arm's length as she fights her supposed destiny。The only downside to this book is that it ends on a cliffhanger that leaves me wanting and waiting for book two。 It's rare that I don't see the big twist coming in books but this one completely knocked me off my feet and left me wanting to send a very strongly worded letter to the author to voice my frustrations and demand the next book。 The second book can't come soon enough。 Overall， this was a great read and I can't wait to read more in this universe and see where Adara's story goes。 。。。more
